We had the red beans and rice, oxtail, and fried okra. Everything was delicious and the whole staff was friendly. Great place!
Friendly staff, great food and affordable prices. There was a huge party so they were busy but we didn't have to wait forever and they were super attentive. They even gave us dessert on the house since the wait was longer than normal. There wasn't a single thing we won't order again and we still want to try everything on the menu. Go support this small business!
I've been in buildings like this in Vallejo and none of them look as nice as this one. We enjoyed nice jazz music. I came just for the catfish and I was not disappointed. Keep in mind these prices come with very large portions. So, I find it fair. 1 entre and 2 apps were enough food to feed 3 people. My cocktail was fantastic and had tropical flavors. Next time we are going to try the gumbo and the ribs. Their barbecue sauce was on point. Sweet and spicy.Service was outstanding. It seems like these people really care about the work they are doing.
Food was truly comforting with nice big portions so us little people can share easily. Loved the atmosphere. Great chill vibe and the best service I've experienced in a long time. Our waitress tete gave us some fried zucchini on the house. And it was incredible. Even my super picky daughter loved her hot links w red beans and rice. Authentically southern corn bread and great curry prawns too. I was worried about the whole fusion thing but it all went together like pb and j. Try it and help support this local gem.
Someone mentioned this restaurant on Next Door, I got the Cajun shrimp taco ala Carte for $6, and steak Taco, side order of the lime cilantro riceI got it to go, great ambience, mellow jazz, good service, everything you would expect in a quality restaurant, will be going again, near Empress Theater on Virginia and Marin StreetOh did i say the food was delicious 😉
Urban Fusions, it is truly what the name, states. It's ambiance, that is delicate, charming, with sophistication.The dish made my palette rock with delight. Love at the register, there are cookbooks, displaying different cultural influences to the dishes. The shrimp curry bowl, was amazing, yellow curry, chose spicy, it was Thai spice, with a nice blend of Caribbean hot. Vallejo, is the happening place, great place for any occasion... I most certainly will be back, on my list of favorites.
I've been meaning to try this place for a while. I am now kicking myself for waiting so long. I tend not to order oxtail when I dine out. They've gotten quite pricey, and I can do better at home than a lot of the restaurants I've tried. But the reviews here are high, so I decided to give it a chance. Did not disappoint! I can't wait to go back with friends.
